Kaliegh and her cousins
I have had the pleasure on many occasions to photograph Kaliegh and her little sister Keegan but this is the first time I got to meet her cousins; Natalie, Anna, and Connor. She absolutely loves her cousins and it was so sweet to see them play together and to photograph that special relationship. Thank you for inviting me to capture this special bond between these girls. The little ones will be catching up soon and I hope I get to see them all again!
Anne and Kevin
Anne and Kevin had a beautiful winter wedding at Old St. Pat's and it was a great way to end the year for me. Great wedding and beautiful reception and...the part that makes me love this job, is the great people I get to meet and spend the day with. Anne and Kevin were a classy couple that were so fun to photograph and gave me lots of patience to make them some really fun pictures. Congrats to you both and have a great New Year...here are some pics to hold you over ;)
What is new!
Well I am finally moving this weekend to Oak Brook which I think will make most of you very happy because now when you come out to see me, it will take half the time :) I always forget how much time moving takes though so I want to thank everyone in advance for being patient with me the next couple of days as I move out of one place and into another and shoot a wedding in the middle of all that! :) I will post some pictures soon. The year is winding down and I hope everyone has a great holiday and gets a break!

Megan and Craig
This wedding I will truly never forget!!! Most of you know the blizzard we had yesterday and some of you may know of the 20 mile back up on I-80 W...well Dean Thorsen and I were stuck in that mess for 8.5 hours trying to get to this wedding, but Megan was also stuck in her farm near Starved Rock State Park where the wedding was to take place so at least we weren't missing too much! Megan finally made it out after getting stuck in a ditch on the way to the lodge but I was still going nowhere so her uncle came to pick me up on the other side of the highway and got me to the lodge about the same time as Megan so I wouldn't miss a thing!! Even though this wedding did not go as planned, it was one of the most sincere and beautiful weddings I have been to thus far. It was worth every minute and every mile to get there and share their day. Thanks again to Dean Thorsen for helping me out on this wedding, as always, his images are amazing and really complete the coverage.
This is the shadow of me waiting for my ride after walking through the snow to the other side, that is some backup! We were only 1 mile away from the exit at this point but we had been there for about an hour with no end in sight!

Anti-workshop
This week I had the pleasure of learning from some of my very favorite photographers at the Anti-workshop in Texas, Doug and Chenin Boutwell of Boutwell Studio in California and John Michael Cooper and his lovely wife Dalisa of AltF Studio in Las Vegas. This is just the kind of thing I need to get reinspired after a long wedding season thus far :) I went with my good friends Dean Thorsen and Kelly Moore and we got to meet so many other talented photographers. It was a great time. During this workshop, we had a shooting assingment that helped with the weakest part of my photography, the portraits! Most of you know that I am better and getting the action than posing you up and luckily I mostly have great clients who pose themselves and I get off the hook! ;) But really I had fun trying to direct and come up with some new stuff. Here are some of my images from this week!
Arbriea and Amando
Arbriea and Amando had a beautiful wedding on freakishly warm weather for the end of November :) They also had the good sense to hire two photographers to capture all the love and emotion of this day. Dean Thorsen and I had a great time working with these two and their outgoing, dynamic personalities and obvious love for each other. Have a great time in Alaska ;) jk...hope the honeymoon is a blast...and warm!
