A trip to the zoo...

Last week my sister-in-law, niece, and nephew came to visit us sans parents. At first I thought, "oh no, what did I get myself into?" It is June, the busiest month of the year and now we have 3 kids to entertain for 5 days. Well it was busy, but completely worth it! It turned out to be a great time of year for them to visit, I needed the mental break and we had so much fun. I can't believe how much I miss them now that they are gone!!!

These are just a few pictures from our trip to the zoo, one of the many fun things we did while they were here.

Justin has the biggest heart for any species, he tried to save each and every cicada he found still alive, placing each one carefully on a tree :)

We can't wait for next year's trip and we love you soo much!

Diana and Drew

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting Diana and Drew's wedding at one of my favorite venues, the Chicago Botanical Gardens. It was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving couple. I had so much fun running around the gardens with these two and was so happy to see their dream day come true.

How could I resist knowing Diana's love of green!

I did not touch these eyes in Photoshop, that is what they really looked like!

This was fun, Diana also loves trees, so why not put her in one ;) At least my climbing skills came in handy!

Katie and Dave

This weekend started off great with Katie and Dave's wedding. These two just seem like 2 of 1 instead of 1 of 2 if that makes sense. Ever since I met them, they just seemed to go together. Everything fell into place and the whole day went perfectly with the help of Sue from A Perfect Plan and the very friendly staff at the Klein Creek Golf Club. The flowers were also stunning, great job Elizabeth Wray!

Even when there was sash emergency, Katie's soon to be sister's stepped in to save the day with the sash repair :)

Jenny and Mark...and Charlie

Today I headed downtown to shoot Jenny and Mark and their adorable dog Charlie. It is fun to spice it up a bit by adding a loved one like your dog. After Charlie had his fill of the camera, we strolled around Michigan Ave to get the city feel. Looking forward to the wedding!

Leslie and Cory

Yesterday I had a quick tour of the city with Leslie and Cory ;) We had fun lounging on the beach and hitting some of Chicago's most memorable landmarks. It was a fun night and I am already scheming for more ideas for the wedding! :)
